RA PM attaches importance to Armenia-Georgia economic ties

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Georgian Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Ramaz Nikolaishvili.

Greeting the guest, PM Sargsyan attached importance to intensification of the Armenian-Georgian economic relations. “In my opinion, it is within the interest of our peoples, as expansion of the economic space and activity of business entities contributes to the two countries economic growth,” he said.

Mr. Nikolaishvili for his part briefed on Georgia’s experience in road construction, specifically, provision of safety, maintenance of roads, organization of relevant tenders, etc.

Sargsyan noted that Georgia’s experience in road construction will be useful for Armenia.

The two men also touched upon projects of regional importance, including those in road construction, and stressed the importance of experience and information exchange in the field. Besides, issues related to Upper Lars checkpoint were in the focus of the meeting.
