HSBC Group top officials to attend HSBC Bank Armenia 15th anniversary celebration

PanARMENIAN.Net - HSBC opened its doors for business in Armenia 15 years ago, on March 16, 1996, and today serves more than 40,000 customers in Armenia and abroad.

As the deputy CEO of the Bank, Irina Seylanyan stated, to mark the anniversary, the bank announced a free banking day on March 16, 2011, providing it’s customers with the privilege of enjoying a one day long charge free products and services.

“The initiative resulted in significant growth in demand for banking services. The number of accounts opened exceeded the average daily rate by 4 times, with the number of internet banking services’ users growing by 8 times.”

As Ms. Seylanyan added, the year 2011 will be full of surprises for the bank’s customers, with improvements in conditions for banking services to be applied starting April.

A major event dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the HSBC Bank Armenia with participation of HSBC Group top officials is scheduled for May.
