Toyota plans to resume output by November or December

PanARMENIAN.Net - Toyota Motor Corp. says its global production disrupted by last month's earthquake and tsunami is expected to return to normal by November or December.

The world's biggest automaker gave the projection in a statement Friday, April 22, before a press conference by Toyota President Akio Toyoda.

The twin disasters that hit northeastern Japan damaged numerous parts makers, causing production slowdowns at Japanese and global auto companies.

"To all the customers who made the decision to buy a vehicle by us, I sincerely apologize for the enormous delay in delivery," Toyoda said in a statement, AP reports.
