FCCI President: UAE attaches importance to expanding cooperation with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan met with Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, the President of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry, to discuss trade and economic ties.

Gevorgyan said that the current legal and contractual basis creates opportunities for expanding the trade turnover between the two countries, adding it is necessary to set a business council.

Al Rumaithi said for his part the UAE attaches importance to boosting cooperation with Armenia, including the private sector. He pointed to opportunities of implementing tourism projects in Armenia, saying that Dubai-Yerevan flight launched by Fly Dubai late in 2010 is of great importance.

Gevorgyan invited Al Rumaithi to pay a visit to Armenia to familiarize himself with business and investment opportunities, as well as discuss certain programs, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration reported.
