In a statement Friday, September 30, the Foreign Ministry said Armenia is deeply concerned over the recent escalation in Syria. “The deplorable use of weaponry against the civilian population of Aleppo, including the residents of the Armenian district that resulted in numerous human losses is a matter of particular concern,” it said. “We hope that all the parties involved in the negotiation process over the settlement of the Syrian conflict will be more determined in the joint fight against terrorism and resolved to restore peace through negotiations.” Upon the instruction of President Sargsyan, two planes loaded with aid will be sent to Syria in coming days to support the conflict-hit civilians there.
