Armenia to sign membership contract with Springer publishing houseNovember 12, 2010 - 22:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A contract on Armenia’s membership in world-known Springer publishing house will be concluded on November 23, 2010. The contract will authorize the access of all governmental scientific organizations of Armenia to publishing house services as well as information provided in over 1700 scientific magazines. Also, the organizations will have a chance to create their own virtual library. The service is provided for about USD1,5 million, however Armenia was given a possibility to pay only 10% of the sum required. The work with Springer will be coordinated by Armenia’s consortium of electronic libraries. Membership fee for scientific organizations was set at AMD56-60 thousand, with the organizations to be provided with additional funds to cover membership fees, the press service of the state committee at Armenian Ministry of Science and Education reported.
