Public vote for ArmNet Awards 2010 overDecember 1, 2010 - 15:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - As SP Marketing Solutions press service told PanARMENIAN.Net numerous websites have executed promotional activities through social network and their websites, thus influencing a drastic increase in the number of votes for their websites. Such promotional activities are very encouraging and they show that the contest has become very popular during this short period of time and the Armenian internet environment has become more active very quickly. However, the project initiators point out to violations of voting rules, mainly concerning the main rule – the ban to vote for the same website more than once. A few participants being skilled at internet tricks have used one or another method going round the prohibition and abusing the rules. At the same time, the system couldn’t provide a full opportunity to vote for those people who work/study at organizations where the internet exit takes place through only one IP. Taking into account the statements above and lead by willingness of carrying out an unbiased and fair contest, the organizers have made a decision that instead of having the list of top 75 websites during the second phase, the jury will be viewing the total list of the websites participating in the contest. Therewith the organizers apologize to those websites who participated in the contest candidly, and to people who gave their votes for their favorite websites. Determined to exclude unfair elections, the organizers assure you, that the professional jury will evaluate correctly the values of every website and will reveal the best ones. The awards ceremony during which the winners for ArmNet Awards 2010 will be announced, will take place on December 4. On the same day, a conference titled "From outsourcing to innovation" on web technologies will take place aiming to foster the innovation among local companies and entrepreneurs. Applications for participation can be submitted through ArmNet’s official page on Facebook. Top stories Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
