Ucom telecommunication company opens headquarters in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - On December 15, Ucom telecommunication company opened headquarters in Yerevan, incorporating service center, data center, company administration and technical departments.

As Ucom executive director Hayk Yesayan stated during the opening ceremony, “The company is operating in 3 Yerevan communities, with Ucom coverage to be extended to Nor Nork, Avan and Kanaker Zeytun communities in 2011. At present the company employs 214 people.”

Ucom, in cooperation with Ericsson Swiss manufacturer of telecommunication equipment, constructed a modern optic-fiber network for provision of access to broadband internet services, fixed telephone connection and IP-Television.

As Zoran Lukovic, Ericsson Vice President in Eastern Europe and Central Asia noted, “the opening of Ucom headquarters is a proof of the company’s long-term plans in Armenian market.”

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sarsyan and Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan participated in the opening ceremony.
