Georgia to reduce mobile connection tariffs starting April 1

PanARMENIAN.Net - Starting April 1, Georgia will reduce mobile connection tariffs by 10-15 % (to reach 45 cents).

According to National Communication Committee of Georgia, Magti and Geocell mobile operators tariffs were artificially inflated.

Georgia is the fist among CIS countries to offer the highest mobile connection costs. To compare, a standard mobile connection package (25 phone calls and 30SMS messages a month) comprises USD 8,31; 5,96 and 44,09 in Armenia, Russia and Georgia respectively.

3 mobile connection providers are currently operating in the market of Georgia: Magti, Geocell and VimpelCom, Russia.
