HP unveils first webOS based TouchPadFebruary 10, 2011 - 12:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - HP has officially unveiled their first webOS based tablet, the HP Touchpad and it will come with a new version of HP’s webOS software, web OS 3.0, plus a range of impressive specifications. The HP TouchPad will features a 9.7 inch capacitive multitouch display, with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixel, processing comes from a dual core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and there is also 512MB of RAM. There is also a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front of the Palm TouchPad for video calls, plus a virtual keyboard, a light sensor, accelerometer, compass (magnetometer), and gyroscope. The HP TouchPad offers support for Adobe Flash 10.1, plus a wide range of music and video formats, which include DRM-free MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, QCELP, WAV, MPEG-4, H.263, H.264. Other specifications on the HP TouchPad include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, and it features a 6300 mAh battery, although HP have yet to give any battery life figures. One very interesting feature on the new HP Touchpad is the ability to share your URL from the website on your Pre 3 with the TouchPad, this can be done by putting the two devices together and the URL will automatically appear on the TouchPad, Geeky Gadgets reported.
