Armenia listed among European states banning tobacco advertising in internet

PanARMENIAN.Net - Google, Yahoo, Bing search engines, Facebook, VKontakte social networks, YouTube video hosting service, eBay internet auction refused to post tobacco ads on their websites.

While Facebook and YouTube disallow any tobacco sale promoting ads, Google AdWords and Microsoft/Yahoo advertise solely tobacco accessories as well as a range of quit-smoking products.

According to World Health Organisation, a number of European states including Armenia, Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Rumania, Slovenia, Spain, Macedonia, and Turkey banned tobacco advertising in internet, RBK Ukraine reported.
