IT government institution to be established in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Establishment of an IT government institution and a number of other problems in the filed were discussed during a working breakfast the Armenian President organized for the representatives of Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE).

As Synopsys Armenia executive director Hovik Musaelyan told reporters after the meeting, the President requested to explain the necessity for the establishment of such a structure. “We obliged to provide detailed explanation, as information technology is one of the most important trends of the country’s development to secure a double-digit growth,” he said.

For his part, UITE executive director Karen Vardanyan noted that the IT field needs a regulation through creation an institution that could effect a saving and prevent scattering of resources.”
