Kinderwall project launched in Gorayq village of ArmeniaJune 2, 2011 - 14:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - As a general partner, VivaCell-MTS announced the launch of the Kinderwall project in Armenia. Kinderwall is a project of non-formal education, which gives children an opportunity to get knowledge independent of their age, schooling and without adult interference. In the framework of the project two computer terminals were installed in the village of Gorayq, Syunik province, to provide access to educational websites for local children. The Kinderwall is called to present a new format of education in Armenia by providing children with unlimited internet access in a form of an open playing ground to promote self-education and facilitate the development of skills in self-discovery. Terminals have touchscreens and iron keyboards and will work 24 hours. Up to 2 Megabit internet connection will be provided by VivaCell-MTS. Financial sponsor of the project is Geoteam company, which used to implement other social projects in Gorayq village before. The company allocated AMD 2.5 million for Kinderwall project. This is a pilot project with the first results expected to come in three months. In case of efficiency of the project it will be extended to 150 more villages across Armenia. This project was first implemented and tested by Professor Mitra in a number of villages in India and proved to open amazing and new perspectives for the process of education.
