SOAD frontman Serj Tankian announces plans for new project

PanARMENIAN.Net - System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian has announced plans for his third solo full-length.

The Armenian-American’s new project is a follow-up to 2010’s Imperfect Harmonies called Harakiri, and it’s due out sometime this summer via Tankian’s own Serjical Strike Records and Reprise Records, thenjunderground.com reported.

Tankian apparently wrote, produced, and recorded the album himself along with the F.C.C.

This is Tankian’s first project of 2012, following a year full of System of a Down reunion shows around the world, orchestral performances, a book of poetry (Glaring Through Oblivion), a remix EP (Imperfect Remixes), and a musical, Prometheus Bound. Harakiri’s cover art, tracklist, release date, and singles have yet to be revealed.
