Armenia’s economic activity totals 6,6% in March 2012![]() April 20, 2012 - 16:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s economic activity index in March 2012 totaled 6,6%%, growing by 18,4%.as compared to February 2012, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia. In March 2012, consumer prices grew by2,2%, with 0,1% inflation recorded on monthly basis. Meanwhile, in January-March 2012 inflation rate increased by 3,3% as compared with the same period in 2011. The national budget envisages 4,2% economic activity growth, and 4±1,5% inflation for 2012. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
