Armenian Genocide commemorated in London April 21, 2012 - 22:52 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - About 300-350 people took to the streets in London on April 21 to commemorate the 97th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and protest Turkey’s policy of denial. The demonstrators carried Armenian and British flags and chanted “Never Again”, “Recognize the Armenian Genocide” and “We Want Justice.” Some were holding photographs of the slain editor of Agos weekly, Hrant Dink. As a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the scene, officials from the Armenian embassy in London also joined the protesters, who demanded inclusion of the story of the Armenian Genocide in the UK school curriculum. The march ended at The Glorious Dead Memorial where the participants laid flowers and offered a prayer. A liturgy will be served in Surb Eghishe Church on April 22.
