CSTO COUNCIL PASSED DOCUMENT ON MAIN DIRECTIONS OF COOPERATION WITH NATO

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) takes the cooperation of the countries making its part as normal, Armenian President Robert Kocharian stated in the Kazakh capital of Astana today. In his words, at today's sitting of the CSTO Council a document on the main directions of cooperation between the organization and the NATO was adopted, Mediamax news agency reported. The document also indicates such fields of cooperation as regional and international security, struggle against the threat of terrorism and drugs, as well as proliferation of mass destruction weapons and missile technologies, the Armenian leader said. He also added that the document enshrines concrete mechanisms of cooperation between the CSTO and NATO. It should be noted that today Robert Kocharian also participated in a sitting of the International Council of the EurAsEC, where Armenia is an observer.
