IFAD delegation to visit Armenia in fall![]() May 23, 2012 - 17:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with the head of IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development) Programs in Armenia. Welcoming Henning Pedersen, Prime Minister Sargsyan hailed the results of the long-term cooperation between Armenia and IFAD. He further thanked Mr. Pedersen for personal contribution to the program implementation. IFAD representative, in turn, underscored the importance of RA government’s assistance in program implementation, noting the plan of IFAD delegation’s subsequent visit in fall to discuss further prospects. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision. Kerobyan has said that for the first time in the history of Armenia, the volume of foreign direct investments amounted to about $1 billion. Partner news |
