Govt. hopes President Sargsyan will change his mind – paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Hraparak paper, the chief of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) electoral headquarters Hovik Abrahamyan didn’t participate in Republic Day celebration in Sardarapat Memorial complex.

As it turned out, many RPA members had not been invited to the event by the government.

They joked that the government still hoped President Serzh Sargsyan would change his mind by May 30 and would not appoint Abrahamyan as National Assembly speaker, the paper claims.

This year the RPA Executive Committee sitting is due Wednesday, May 30, with the new parliament to launch operation the next day, the daily says.
