Russia increases military flights over Armenia as part of combat training

PanARMENIAN.Net - Representative of the press service of Armenian’s Southern military district commented on increased number of training flights of Russian jets over Armenia.

“Intensification of flights of Russian air-unit of N102 military base has been recorded in the framework of combat training program,” Kirill Kiselev told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

However, he refrained from commenting on New York Times paper’s assertion sending a warning that Russia could intervene at any moment should war break out.

According to New York Times, Russian fighter jets stationed at a base in Armenia have conducted about 300 training flights since the beginning of 2012, and have increased the number of flying hours by more than 20 percent from last year.
