Ethnographer says nihilism, apathy dominate Armenian society

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ethnographer Hranush Kharatyan cited nihilism and apathy as key reasons behind increase in the number of suicides in Armenia.

She further stressed the country’s social situation and “confidence of living in an unjust world” as other reasons.

Ms. Kharatyan underscored the need to conduct a probe into the reasons behind the occurrences.

“Armenian Apostolic Church must also address the issue,” she said.
