Economy expert forecasts minor AMD to USD revaluation in JulyJuly 9, 2012 - 19:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Economy expert Professor Tatul Manaseryan forecasts a minor AMD to USD revaluation in July. As the expert said, the revaluation will be caused by a progress in the country’s economy sector noted since April. The progress has been enhanced in summer period due to increase in agricultural production volume, and tourism sector as well as good results in Q1, the expert said. “The altered exchange rate won’t have a determining influence on the country’s economy, if the situation in external markets remains stable,” the expert told a news conference in Yerevan. The expert, however, was surprised about the stir over AMD devaluation, considering the exporters and importers are the only ones to benefit from AMD to USD rate growth. The situation won’t affect those who receive their incomes in AMD, he noted. Top stories Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”.
