Stepan Safaryan says single opposition candidate at by-elections possible – paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Heritage MP Stepan Safaryan believes the opposition’s nominating him as a single candidate for Avan’s 1st electoral district at parliamentary by-elections to be possible, 168 Zham daily said.According to the daily, Safaryan’s remarks might be addressed to Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc.

However, ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan told the daily, “the issue will be discussed when Ruben Hayrapetyan is eventually stripped of deputy mandate and the MP seat for Avan’s 1st electoral district becomes vacant.”
