When asked by an Azerbaijani journalist about the forthcoming presidential election in Nagorno Karabakh and the ministry's stance, the MFA spokesperson replied that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs will make a joint statement regarding the issue in the near future. The presidential election in Artsakh is scheduled for July 19. The three candidates to run for presidency are: current leader Bako Sahakyan; NKR MP, ex-deputy defense minister Vitaly Balasanyan; Armenian State Agrarian University’s Stepanakert Subsidiary pro-rector Arkady Soghomonyan.
