Russian-Armenian cooperation in Eurasian Union discussed in Yerevan![]() July 24, 2012 - 18:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - As a part of his official visit to Armenia, Russian State Duma speaker Sergey Naryshkin held discussions with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and MPs on cooperation in the framework of the Eurasian Union. “Armenian government tries to determine its place in the Eurasian project, acknowledging the importance of the Eurasian area for the development of trade and economic relations,” he told a joint press conference with RA National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamyan. “The project has already yielded positive results. The trade volume of the three countries (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan) grew by 30% in 2011, as compared with 2010,” Mr. Naryshkin said.
