Argentine Armenians protest Azeri FM’s visit to South America

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenians in Argentina staged a protest against Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov’s visit to South America.

The Armenian community representatives took to the streets in Buenos Aires , carrying posters condemning Azeri-pursued policy of genocide and xenophobia.

Mammadyarov’s upcoming visit also sparked negative reaction in social networks.

“The visit is a disgrace to Argentina. It is indirectly linked to the foreign policy the country’s current government implements,” Argentina’s Facebook users posted.

Earlier, Argentina and Uruguay-based Armenian organizations released publications to remind their governments of Azeri anti-Armenian war rhetoric.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister will visit Colombia, Peru, Argentina and Uruguay in the framework of his tour across South America. The visit aims to search for new markets to expand economic ties.
