Catholicos Karekin II departs for Romania

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today, on August 10, the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II departed for Romania on a pastoral visit to preside over re-consecration ceremony of Hachkatar Holy Mother of God Church in Suceava and 500th anniversary celebrations.

His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Archbishop Norvan Zakaryan, the Pontifical Representative of Western Europe and Primate of the Armenian Diocese of France; His Eminence Archbishop Khajak Parsamyan, Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America; His Grace Bishop Yezras Nersisyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Nor Nakhijevan and Russia; Rev. Fr. Sipan Gevorgyan, Rev. Fr. Tovma Khachatryan, clergy from the Mother See; and professor David Muradyan.
