  Russian PM instructs ministries to address Armavia’s operation of Superjet-100 August 14, 2012 - 18:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the Ministries of Industry and Foreign Affairs to discuss with JSC United Aircraft Corporation Armavia Armenian airline company’s operation of Superjet-100 medium-haul aircraft by Sept. 15, ITAR-TASS reported. According to a number of media outlets, Armavia intends to drop its plans for operation of the first Superjet-100 and purchase of another one. The air company purchased the first Sukhoi Superjet-100 in April, 2011. SSJ-100 is developed by Sukhoi in cooperation with U.S. and European aviation corporations, including Boeing, Snecma, Thales, Messier Dowty, Liebherr Aerospace and Honeywell.
