PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the Ministries of Industry and Foreign Affairs to discuss with JSC United Aircraft Corporation Armavia Armenian airline company’s operation of Superjet-100 medium-haul aircraft by Sept. 15, ITAR-TASS reported.

According to a number of media outlets, Armavia intends to drop its plans for operation of the first Superjet-100 and purchase of another one.

The air company purchased the first Sukhoi Superjet-100 in April, 2011.

SSJ-100 is developed by Sukhoi in cooperation with U.S. and European aviation corporations, including Boeing, Snecma, Thales, Messier Dowty, Liebherr Aerospace and Honeywell. It is capable of carrying up to 100 passengers for 4,500 kilometers.
