Police refuse to comment on reports about Gyumri mayor’s house search

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian police spokesman Ashot Aharonyan refused to comment on the reports about search in Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan's house.

“Such investigations are common in the framework of any criminal case. We will issue a public report, in case of necessity,” he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

According to Armenian media outlets, the police tossed Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan's house all night long, linking the search with recent Gyumri shootings between supporters of Ghukasyan and those of Prosperous Armenia party candidate Samvel Balasanyan.
