  Armenian parliament to hold extraordinary session September 3, 2012 - 14:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Upon completion of consultations between Armenian National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamyan and heads of parliamentary groups, an extraordinary NA session was scheduled for Sept 5, with the extradition of Azeri assassin Ramil Safarov as the key issue for discussion. Safarov, the Azerbaijani army officer who was serving a life sentence in Hungary for axing to death Armenian Lt. Gurgen Margaryan, was extradited to Azerbaijan on Aug 31 and immediately pardoned by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Later he was promoted to major by azeri Defense Minister Safar Abiyev.   Top stories Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
