Armenian parliament to hold extraordinary session

PanARMENIAN.Net - Upon completion of consultations between Armenian National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamyan and heads of parliamentary groups, an extraordinary NA session was scheduled for Sept 5, with the extradition of Azeri assassin Ramil Safarov as the key issue for discussion.

Safarov, the Azerbaijani army officer who was serving a life sentence in Hungary for axing to death Armenian Lt. Gurgen Margaryan, was extradited to Azerbaijan on Aug 31 and immediately pardoned by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Later he was promoted to major by azeri Defense Minister Safar Abiyev.
