Tribeca Film picks up Edward Burns’ “Fitzgerald Family Christmas”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tribeca Film has acquired writer/director/star Edward Burns’ The Fitzgerald Family Christmas, ahead of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The family drama, which reunites Burns with Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights) and Michael McGlone from The Brothers McMullen, will bow Sunday, September 8 in Toronto, ahead of a late-November commercial release by Tribeca Film.

Burns’ 2011 release Newlyweds was also released by Tribeca Film.

The Fitzgerald Family Christmas also stars Noah Emmerich, Kerry Bishé and Caitlin FitzGerald. "Having returned to my own filmmaking backyard with my most personal work, The Fitzgerald Family Christmas, I'm thrilled to partner with my old friends at Tribeca,” Burns said Wednesday. Burns produced the film alongside partner Aaron Lubin and William Rexer II.

Mike Harrop served as executive producer.

The deal was hammered out by Tribeca Film’s Nick Savva, director of acquisitions, and John Sloss at Cinetic Media for the filmmakers.
