  No candidacy for Hovannisian’s vacated MP seat discussed – Heritage rep. September 13, 2012 - 15:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage party’s secretary general commented on the rumors designating him as a person to replace party leader Raffi Hovannisian in his MP seat. “The future parliamentarian’s candidacy hasn’t been discussed. However, a person coming next in the Heritage candidates list (Tevan Poghosyan) is aspiring to the seat,” Stepan Safaryan said. On Monday, September 10, Hovannisian submitted an application to give up his seat in the parliament. According to parliamentary regulations, the application will be accepted in 15 days upon its submittal unless the MP recalls it.
