It was stated by Coordinator of International Programs of the Prison Department of the German Ministry of Justice Wolfgang Gottschalk stated at an expert meeting in Yerevan. The meeting, titled Classification and Keeping of Convicts, was arranged by the Ministry of Justice of Armenia in cooperation with the Council of Europe. In the words of Gottschalk, there is no such trend in most European countries, which is another proof of democracy. In his turn Head of the Judicial and Legal Reforms Department of the Armenian Ministry of Justice Nikolay Arustamian stated that the separation of former representatives of law-enforcement bodies and the judicial system from other prisoners in correctional facilities allows to reduce the risk of conflict situations in imprisonment sites. "We adopt from progressive countries what will work in our," N. Arustamian stated.
