1st trailer for Anthony Hopkins’ “Hitchcock” released

PanARMENIAN.Net - The first trailer for Sacha Gervasi’s Hitchcock has hit the web, Empire reported.

Hitchcock finds Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren playing the legendary director and his supportive, but still punchy wife/partner Alma Reville.

Though Psycho has long since become a classic of the genre, the aging auteur had a real struggle to make it, with no studio willing to touch it, various cinematic censors swearing it would never see the projectionist’s light and the world at large wondering if he was past his best.

Scarlett Johansson is the buxom Janet Leigh, destined to become one of cinema’s most iconic victims and the cast also includes the likes of Jessica Biel, Michael Stuhlbarg, Toni Collette, James D’Arcy, Danny Huston, Ralph Macchio and Kurtwood Smith. The film makes its way into UK cinemas on February 8.
