Armenian community to dispute Hungary’s decision on Safarov case

PanARMENIAN.Net - RA Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan met with the delegation of Hungary’s Armenian community headed by the community leader Sevan Sargsian.

Minister Hakobyan welcomed the steps the community took following the Azerbaijani axe-killer Ramil Safarov’s transfer to Baku.

The community representatives noted their intention to dispute Hungarian government’s decision on Safarov extradition, proving that the latter runs counter to the country’s legislation. Sevan Sargsian noted Hungarian authorities’ reluctance to discuss the Azeri murderer’s case following the transfer, thus causing serious problems for the Armenian community, whenever it tries to raise the issue.

Armenian Genocide 100th anniversary programs were further discussed.
