Jennifer Lawrence talks "Playbook," role, working with De Niro

Jennifer Lawrence talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - Jennifer Lawrence has discussed her role in Silver Linings Playbook.

The Hunger Games actress plays an emotionally damaged young window in David O Russell's off-kilter drama, and spoke to Total Film about her late casting in the role, Digital Spy said.

Explaining that a last-minute Skype audition earned her the part of Tiffany, Lawrence said: "I didn't really research what it's like to have an entire neighbourhood think that you're a slut."

Lawrence stars opposite Bradley Cooper, and also shares scenes with Robert De Niro, who she describes as "so supportive. He's not intimidating, he's just very comforting."

"When I do scenes like that, my body is shaking in between takes because of the adrenaline, but in my head I'm thinking, 'I wonder what craft services have for lunch today?'"

Cooper recently admitted that he was surprised by Lawrence's casting, because she is much younger than her character is described in Matthew Quick's novel, but added that he was immediately impressed after speaking to Lawrence.

"I had one conversation with her on the phone and I knew right away that this was going to work, this dynamic was going to work," Cooper said. "She's special."
