Armenia voted for Palestine status upgrade, Foreign Ministry says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia voted for Palestine recognition as a non-member observer state, Foreign Ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan told PanARMENIAN.Net

The UN General Assembly has voted to recognize Palestine as a non-member observer state. The assembly voted 138-9 in favor, with 41 nations abstaining.

The UK abstained from the vote, as did Germany. The Czech Republic, Canada, the Marshall Islands and Panama were among the nations voting with the US and Israel.
