Turkey's blockade of Armenia violates international law - President

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan slammed use of force, xenophobia and racism as outdated in the 21st century, urging zero tolerance for the latters in the Eastern Partnership territory.

At a joint news conference with the President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, Mr. Sargsyan criticized Turkey, a member of G20 group for international economic development, for illegally blocking Armenia's border, while attempting to join the European Union.

As he noted, the fact contradicts the logic of partnership, violating the norms of international law.

“Borders mustn't be used as marking lines in Europe,” the President stressed.
