Jude Law talks stardom, says “happy not being pretty young thing anymore”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Jude Law has joked that he is happy not to be considered a "pretty young thing" anymore, Digital Spy said.

The Anna Karenina actor told T, The New York Times Style Magazine that he didn't much enjoy his early stardom, but now looks back fondly on that time in his life.

"In a weird way, it's kind of a relief to think, 'Oh, I know I'm not that young sort of pretty thing anymore'," Law joked to the publication.

"It's quite nice talking about what it was like to be the young pretty thing, rather than being it."

Law went on to suggest that he's become more confident in his acting abilities as he has grown older.

"Without sounding too pretentious, it's difficult to remember that it's an art form and you are, maybe, an artist and you have to make decisions on that level," the star explained.

He continued: "I feel kind of more confident, more settled as a human being, more settled in my own skin... [When you're older] you are allowed to be an actor, and the parts you get are more interesting."

Law has several high profile acting projects lined up, including the drama Dom Hemingway and Wes Anderson's Grand Budapest Hotel.
