Releasing in summer 2016 and funded by Rovio Entertainment, it will feature the talents of Despicable Me producer John Cohen and former Marvel Studios chairman David Maisel as executive producer. Angry Birds has been downloaded more than one billion times across all platforms since its debut in 2009. The latest game in the franchise Angry Birds Star Wars recently launched on mobiles, tablets and PCs, climbing to the top of the iPhone charts within hours of its release.
