The party earlier announced a decision to back the current leader Serzh Sargsyan at 2013 presidential polls. “Orinats Yerkir closely cooperates with the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), with visits to provinces and meetings expected on party leader Arthur Baghdasaryan’a agenda,” the MP said, adding that the party aims to raise public awareness on its position and heed voters’ offers. Mr Harutyunyan further stressed the need to conduct free, fair and transparent elections in line with international standards, voicing confidence for Serzh Sargsyan’s victory.
