Artsakh leader congratulates judges on professional holidayJanuary 18, 2013 - 19:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On January 18, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited the NKR Supreme Court, where he attended the festive event dedicated to the day of the workers of judicial system. In his speech, President Sahakyan congratulated the representatives of the sphere on the professional holiday, describing the judicial power as one of the most significant institutions of the democratic system and civil society. He said that public confidence towards the state, ensuring the equality of citizens before the law to a great extent depends on the effective functioning of the judicial system. President Sahakyan noted that all necessary institutional conditions for the implementation of justice had been created in the country, adding that much still is left to be done for its proper accomplishment. In this context, Bako Sahakyan attached special importance to boosting the professionalism of the representatives of the field through personnel training and retraining, stressing the need to continuously improve the moral-psychological atmosphere within the system. Artsakh leader’s speech was followed by an oath-taking ceremony of the newly-appointed judges of the NKR Court of first instance of general jurisdiction, Central Information Department at NKR President's Office reported.
