Armenia more democratic than Turkey, Azerbaijan – EuFoA chief

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Secretary General of European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA) assessed democratic situation in Armenia as much more developed than those in Azerbaijan and Turkey.

“Nomination of presidential candidates in Azerbaijan or Turkey causes major problems, with Armenia having no such issues,” Michael Kambeck told PanARMENIAN.Net

“Armenian opposition could have nominated a unified candidate; however, failure to do so proves the latter’s weakness. The absence of a unified candidate is a political issue, rather than a democracy-related one. I believe, Armenia will see fair and transparent polls, with assessment of observer missions unable to affect the outcome of elections,” Kambeck said.
