COMPROMISE POSSIBLE ONLY HAVING SECURED KARABAKH PEOPLE RIGHT TO SELF-DETERMINATION

PanARMENIAN.Net - «Azerbaijan and Azeri media have an aggressive attitude, as Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh have de facto acquired independence,» Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakosyan said. In his opinion, the Azeri press is rather active, however it cannot be assumed its propaganda is more efficient than the Armenian propaganda and policy. Here one cannot call one party a winner and the other a loser, as when reading Azeri press in Armenia one gets a notion Armenian propaganda is weaker. While it seems to Azeris that Armenian propaganda is stronger taking into account the activities of the Armenian Diaspora, the work carried out by the Armenian MFA in the US, Europe and other countries. A. Kirakosyan noted propaganda is a field demanding much financial means. He expressed concern over the opportunity for Azerbaijan to strengthen its propaganda machinery owing to the oil means. Speaking of the Karabakh talks, A. Kirakosyan said he was sure that compromise is out of question before Armenians are safe in NK. «Our compromises, if any, should be based on international norms and are possible only having secured NK people and their right to self-determination,» he summed up, reported Armenpress.
