Outgoing envoy to Italy pays farewell visits in Rome

PanARMENIAN.Net - The outgoing ambassador of Armenia to Italy paid farewell visits to a number of politicians, public figures and organizations.

During a meeting with Pope Benedict XVI, and later, Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, Ruben Karapetyan discussed the importance of preservation of Christian values and cooperation. The envoy further briefed those present on formation of Dadivank Armenian-Italian foundation in charge of restoration of churches in Armenia and Artsakh.

The ambassador also met with the representatives of Rome-based Armenian organizations, as well as the head and students of Levonian seminary, thanking them for assistance rendered during his diplomatic mission.
