Candidate Hayrikyan to address Constitutional Court on Feb 10

PanARMENIAN.Net - Despite the fact that only the names of presidential hopefuls Raffi Hovannisian and Hrant Bagratyan were mentioned in candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan’s open letter, the call for unification was addressed to all opposition candidates.

Hayrikyan said he visited candidate Andrias Ghukasyan to discuss the nomination of a common presidential candidate. He further said Raffi Hovannisian had not answered the letter yet, with Bagratyan deeming it late to nominate a common candidate.

“It’s not late, considering my decision to delay the polls for 14 days. New ballots can be published,” the candidate said, adding that he will submit an application to the Constitutional Court on Feb 10, with a request to delay the polls.

“Bagratyan and I are in the same team. I will assume the post of the foreign minister if he wins the race,” he said, adding that jointly with Hovannisian and Bagratyan they might garner about 71% votes.
