CIS observer mission for Armenian presidential polls formed

PanARMENIAN.Net - CIS observer mission for Armenian presidential elections has been formed, Belarusian media reported, citing CIS mission headquarters.

The mission comprises representatives from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, CIS executive committee.

“MPs of CIS member countries, heads of central and regional electoral commissions, representatives of state and executive institutions, as well as CIS diplomats will monitor the polls. CIS observer mission will make an assessment of the polls after the election day. The mission continues the monitoring of media coverage on presidential candidates’ campaign, with the long-term observers visiting regional election commissions,” the statement reads.
