Human rights activist: Sargsyan reps enjoy privileges

PanARMENIAN.Net - Human rights activist Avetik Ishkhanyan briefed on the cases of election frauds recorded by observers during Feb 18 presidential polls.

He said their organization monitored the course of the elections at N 6 polling station in Yerevan’s Ajapnyak administrative district.

Mr Ishkhanyan noted long queues, ballot stuffing and voting bribery as the main violations reported.

“However, the atmosphere was much calmer as compared with that of previous parliamentary and presidential elections,” he said, adding that the authorized representatives of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) candidate Serzh Sargsyan enjoyed privileges.
