For real, the Armenian people have won to choose the way that leads to the future of our country. This election doesn’t have winners and defeated. I am confident that we are writing the victorious history of our homeland,” Harutyunyan said. “Armenian people have finally become a nation, and incumbent Serzh Sargsyan is the first president in the history of independent Armenia who must recognize the people’s victory,” Hovannisian told a news conference earlier. As he noted, Sargsyan seems like a person capable of accepting that Armenia deserves a de jure president. According to Heritage leader, the February 18 elections weren’t free or fair; however he promised a difference situation following his own presidency. “I’ll transfer power to a new generation,” he stressed.
